Girl Scouts Deliver 420 Boxes of Cookies to USO Midway
Annually more than 34,000 service members and their dependents visit USO Midway to find respite and a touch of home during their travels. One small token of appreciation that all service members know they can find at a USO Airport Center - a box of Girl Scout Cookies.
On May 26, a Girl Scout Troop based out of Joliet, Illinois, delivered over 35 cases of cookies to USO Midway. The cookies were purchased through “Operation Cookie Drop,” an annual Girl Scout initiative that allows civilians to purchase a box of cookies to be delivered to service members. While at the center, the Girl Scout Troop spent an hour thanking service members visiting USO Midway.
Thank you to the Girl Scouts for providing a taste of home to our military.
