Albertsons Companies Foundation and Jewel-Osco awards USO with a $50,000 “Nourishing Neighbors” Grant

Jewel-Osco has been an unwavering partner with the USO Illinois for seven years. In the past, USO Illinois has partnered with Jewel-Osco stores in the Chicagoland area to collect donations for USO programs and services at the register.

The USO continues to provide snacks, beverages and hot meals to our local military communities. Since the start of the pandemic in March, our Drive Through USO No-Dough Dinners have provided more than 11,000 meals to the men, women, and families of our armed forces.

The Albertsons Companies Foundation and Jewel-Osco are working to ensure people across local communities have access to the food they need even as they face uncertainty in their lives with the Nourishing Neighbors program. Through this program the Foundation has committed $50 million toward hunger relief. The USO is honored to receive $50,000 in support of our USO No-Dough Dinners and other food-based programs.
