USO Teen/Tween: Making Music in partnership with BMO Harris Bank

Do you like music? Would you like to learn a new instrument? Maybe you’re looking for a new hobby!?

For the first session of the 2021 USO Teen/Tween: Making Music series presented by BMO Harris Bank, military youth ages 11-18 will be exploring the mystical sounds of the KALIMBA!

Prior to the virtual session, each participant will receive their own KALIMBA in the mail. During the workshop, professional percussionist, Bas Janssen, will give step by step instructions on how to play the unique instrument and dive into its rich history.

    We are going to have a family support event for the Coast Guard at MSD Quad Cities. Service members are going to bring families into work at lunch time and eat a donated lunch and play games and receive in-kind donations.

    The USO will support military families and kids at this rock island spring festival for kids. We will help with easter egg hunts, provide kids drinks and snacks, and have an arts and crafts table with painting and coloring
